Setting up payments
Go to Settings > Payments to connect your Stripe account. Click “Connect with Stripe” and follow the prompts. Once connected, you can accept credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets. Deposits and payouts go directly to your bank account on a 2-day rolling basis.
The checkout flow
When an appointment is complete, click on it in the calendar and select “Check out.” The checkout screen shows the services performed, the total, and a tip selector. You can add retail products to the ticket, apply discounts, and adjust prices before processing.
For clients who want to pay later, you can send a payment link via text or email. The link opens a secure payment page where they can pay and add a tip from their phone.
Tips
Tresse supports tips at checkout (in person) and through payment links (remote). Tips are tracked separately from service revenue in your reports. When multiple staff members work on a single appointment (for example, a stylist and an assistant), you can split the tip between them at checkout.
Split payments
If a client wants to pay with two cards, select “Split payment” at checkout. Enter the amount for the first card, process it, then process the remainder on the second card. You can also split between a card payment and cash.
Deposits and cancellation fees
To require a deposit at booking time, go to Settings > Booking Rules > Deposits. Set a flat amount or a percentage of the service price. Deposits are charged when the client books online and applied to the final balance at checkout. If the client no-shows or cancels outside the cancellation window, the deposit is retained as a cancellation fee.
Refunds
To refund a payment, find the appointment in the calendar or the client profile, click the transaction, and select “Refund.” You can refund the full amount or a partial amount. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method and appear in your Stripe dashboard.
